Tool Room Bench Engineer (surface grinding Milling)
Location: Keighley, Skipton, Bradford
Salary: £17,000-£18,000 ( will increase on completion of in house training)
Our Client is actively seeking to employ a experienced Tool Room Bench Engineer who has experience with Surface Grinding Milling.
The company offer is a 3 stage in house training program to help develop your skills. You will start on at salary of £17,000-£18,000 with a view to increase each time you complete stage.
You will be required to strip down and rebuild stage, blank progressive press tolls to remove dye using hand tools and surface grinding/ milling machines when necessary.
Main Duties
-Stripping down stage, blank and progressive press tools
- Operating surface grinder milling machines (previous experience using Jones shipman equipment would be desirable)
- An appreciation of all aspects of tool room machining and specialising in any one area
- To operate to an acceptable level and consistently demonstrate improvements
- To operate safely and effectively the full range of non CNC tool room machinery when required (if applicable)
- Organise your workload effectively
- Understanding engineering drawings for producing and inspecting tooling
- To attain an acceptable standard of workmanship and quality within a reasonable timescale
- Produce machine data for recording machine efficiency (if applicable)
- Work in accordance with current Health and Safety regulations
Ideally you will be apprentice trained and have a City Guilds certificate or equivalent work experience
Experience of operating surface grinders and milling machined is essential
Previous experience of working on a shop floor in engineering/ machine environment
You will possess good housekeeping and maintenance skills of machines to a very high standard
Posses good house keeping skills and maintenance skills of machines to a very high standard.
