Description:
Volt Workforce Solutions is working with a local global orthodontics manufacturer to identify an experienced Tool Maker.
Must understand, follow and comply with regulatory requirements.
Experience in plastic injection mold or MIM is preferred!!!
Understanding of FDA Quality System Regulations and ISO Standards is required.
The individual in this position will perform a variety of machine shop and tool room related tasks on in support of more senior tool makers working on product used in the manufacturing of orthodontic components.
Responsibilities include developing support of tool makers per the tooling priority plan.
This individual will work with guidance and supervision from tool makers, engineers and the director of engineering to ensure the individual meet the quality and time lines required.
Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and dial calipers.
Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work.
Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.

Requirements:
Five years of Tool Making experience.
Ability to fabricate and modify metal and plastic components with engineering prints.
Using milling, turning, and grinding machines.
Additional experience with wire EDM, sinker EDM and CNC systems is a plus.
Work with production on maintenance and fabrication of fixtures required for the manufacturing of orthodontic products.
Experience in plastic injection mold or MIM is preferred!!!
Ability to safely set up and runs all tool room equipment.
Ability to communicate with all levels of co-workers.
