Top-dog Rails developers: work on a fun, heartwarming, funded startup at BorrowMyDoggy (London, United Kingdom) (allows remote)

Job Description

BorrowMyDoggy is looking for top-dog full-stack developers with Rails experience, to help us build our pawsome platform.  Either working with us in our offices in central London, or remotely from your own space, you’ll be able to really contribute to and influence our young pup of a codebase.

We're looking to take on developers on a contract/freelance basis right now, as we have lots to do, and not enough paws working on it.

Skills Requirements

You’ll have been working with Ruby/Rails for a number of years, and be comfortable with the full stack.  You’ll also be familiar with Heroku, HAML, SASS, javascript, dealing with remote APIs, and writing code that’s efficient, scales well, and can be picked up by the rest of the team in next to no time.

We cover the important bits of our code with tests, but we’re more pragmatic rather than zealots about it. Github and git will be second nature to you, and happiness contributing to conversations about technical implementation of ideas would be ideal.

About BorrowMyDoggy

BorrowMyDoggy is a trusted community of dog lovers that connects borrowers with dog owners to help take care of pooches when their owners are busy or need a helping paw. This can be for walks, cuddles, playdays, weekends or happy holidays. BorrowMyDoggy’s aim is to leave ‘Pawprints of Happiness’ on the lives of dogs and people.

We really want to make a difference, and have already had a lot of attention from the media, as well as a great community of dog owners and borrowers who have already signed up.

We're part of SeedCamp's 2013 cohort, and have recently closed our seed funding round.
