Top International Investment Bank Seeking Senior Counterparty Credit Risk Analyst for Global Markets Portfolio Manager Position (NYC) recruitment
The ideal candidate will be coming from a live trade counterparty credit risk background with a strong knowledge of fixed income and/or rate products. You will be working as a team with the other Portfolio managers bringing with you your expertise in credit approval, Basel/Dodd Frank regulations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate from a Credit Risk background to enter a front office focussed portfolio manager position with a greater exposure to external and internal stakeholders.
The Role
- Utilize market experience and enhance the ability of the group to support the credit approval process for FX and Derivatives.
- This role would serve as a liaison between Global Markets Planning the portfolio Management Group and the Credit Division in the US.
- The candidate would need to identify, resolve, or escalate problems that arise within the credit approval process.
- Support the group in various projects to include follow-up Credit Strategy meetings and direct participation in the new and evolving collateral management framework.
- The candidate would also serve as a product knowledge expert in Credit.
- Help the increasing assuming project management responsibilities, the scope of which goes beyond systems efforts due to the group being a primary stakeholder in various Dodd-Frank related initiatives.
- A broad and solid understanding of the regulatory framework that governs trading activities is critical.
- The project coordination involves partnering with stakeholders outside of the group, spanning project “silos”, and the tracking of deliverables for these initiatives.
Ideal Candidate
- Education Degree in Finance, Accounting, International Economics, or Quantitative Analysis or similar on the job experience.
- Broad knowledge/experiences in market business (FX and Derivatives) including trading and risk management experience.
- Understanding of regulatory issues, knowledge of Basel III Capital and Liquidity requirements.
- Excellent writing skills are required for this position as are communication skills
