SUMMARY: This position is responsible for Corporate Quality culture, lean enterprise methodologies and strategy for continuous improvement ("Kaizen") of organizational efficiency and quality initiatives. Oversees efficiency and quality improvement projects, time studies, productivity and data analysis; validates and provides working solutions. Evaluates and approves Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensures communication to all employees regarding related workflow practices. Travel is required maybe up to 30-40%.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Refurbishes and maintains overall Quality culture programs

* Pilots training in lean enterprise and "Kaizen" practices in support of business unit practices

* Leads workforce in ("Gemba") time study, productivity data analysis as necessary analysis to improve workflow process es

* Directs all sites in training and testing for all levels of Total Quality, including skill matrixes, visualization control ("Mieruka"), value stream measurable action plans (MAPS), instructions, job aids. etc.

* Develops and oversees implementation of quality programs and procedures for all phases of business process, including customer and corporate requirements

* Ensures consistency in lean and proper reporting methods

* Trains operations personnel in on-site facility reviews and audits to identify deviation from standard and associated corrective action

* Motivates management to drive Total Quality program

* Promotes facilitates "Kaizen" events to develop employees in application and maintenance Quality tools and methods

* Provides quality element of new employee on-boarding process

* Responsible for Corporate Quality reporting and compliance

* Develops and heads quality recognition programs

Internal Relationships: Establishes and maintains relationships with Division management (Corporate, Warehouse, Transportation, Ocean Freight Forwarding, Air Freight) and Kaizen and Quality facilitators and participants.

Supervision: This position has no direct reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree is required. Certification in Kaizen is highly preferred. Hands on experience implementing Kaizen quality culture programs. Previous logistics experience is preferred - supply chain, trans-loading, warehousing, freight forwarding.

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to design, develop, and implement a continuous quality/efficiency improvement roadmap for business units. Embraces the "Continuous Improvement" philosophy. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft office required. Extensive experience with excel and other data access/analysis systems preferred. Experience with Vizio a plus.
