Tourist Information Officer, Derry 

Hays have been appointed to recruit a Tourist Information Officer on a temporary basis for a leading Derry based organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity to welcome tourists to our city and provide advice and guidance in relation to visitor attraction facilities, events and exhibitions.

As a Tourist Information Officer you will be responsible for welcoming all tourists and providing customer information and guidance in relation to visitor attractions. You will process booking transactions, cash handling and bank lodgements. Part of the Tourist Information Officer job will involve diary management, scheduling of booking and administration duties.

As a Tourist Information Officer you will have 5 GCSE's or equivalent at Grade C or above to include English and be able to demonstrate recent experience in the following areas; a minimum of 2 years experience in a customer facing role, excellent customer service skills, strong administration background, excellent verbal and written communication skills, competence in the use of all Microsoft packages and have experience in or a keen interest in the travel and tourism industry.

Knowledge of Health Safety at work and First Aid at work is essential.  A foreign language would be advantageous.
