Toxicology Technician II Job in Rush, New York US
Moog Medical Devices Group's Life Science Division is seeking a full time temporary Toxicology Technician for its Rush, NY facility. This position may be 6-9 months or longer in duration.
The essential duties and responsibilities are:
Biocompatibility testing
Small animal surgery and necropsy
Responsible for procedures such as observation, injection, weighing, rectal temperatures, identification, blood collection, extract preparation and animal handling
Immunogenicity Testing
In vitro (bench) evaluations
Documentation via reports, data sheets, work instructions and notebooks
Order supplies
Monitor animal health
Report animal welfare concerns to management
Notify veterinary staff as needed and administer necessary treatments
Oversee inventory and prepare purchase requisitions as needed
Recognize non-conforming product and report to management
Inspect department purchases
All other tasks as assigned by management.
If you have an AAS or BS degree in Biology, Lab Animal Science or 1-3 years of relative experience as Veterinary Technologist we encourage you to apply.
Other experience with WORD/EXCEL, the metric system and great communication skills are a definite plus.
Finally, an AAALAS certification or Veterinary Technology license is preferred.
The wage rate is $15.00/hour.
