Trade Assistant – Equities Middle Office recruitment

Key function of the role:

To maintain the integrity of all activity in the trading books supported and to take ownership of the operational risk management of those books.

Main Duties of the role:

 Trade booking / amendment, position keeping and monitoring of p/l of both exotic OTC and
Structured Note products with payoffs linked to the performance of equity, alternative
investment and hybrid underlyings.
 Lifecycle management of trading positions including accurate and timely capture of fixings
 Calculation capture of coupon payments and expiry payoffs, ensuring they are
communicated effectively to our operational partners downstream
 Monitoring, booking and controlling corporate actions, including dividends
 Ownership of p/l break resolution, equity and cash fails, FOBO breaks
 Communicating issues and resolutions to / from Operations, Clients and Sales Trading
staff
 Maintenance of Market Data including dividend curves and index composition.
 Assist with the delivery of our strategic projects including STP for the structured notes
business and development of our automated lifecycle management tools as required.

The successful candidate:

 Highly numerate with excellent analytical problem-solving ability.
 Strong communication, written, and organisational skills
 Results orientated
 Able to build rapport with a driven and demanding front office
 Able to work under pressure, with the ability to prioritise tasks rapidly according to risk
 Confident and Enthusiastic personality to meet the demands of busy and dynamic trading
floor
 Strong proficiency in advanced Excel or Visual Basic would be beneficial
