As the Trade Compliance Specialist II you will participate in all activities involved in export and import compliance globally and drive continuous process improvements aimed at execution of best in class performance in International Trade Compliance

Principal Duties:

Act as FTZ Administrator and perform additional tasks as needed such as reconciliation activities, report generation, etc

Maintain an effective and efficient flow of export and import controls related to international shipments to include compliance and adherence to Export Administration Regulations, U.S. Customs Regulations, and other applicable government agencies

Responsible for maintaining compliance with requirements of Royalties, FDA, USDA, and any other applicable regulatory agencies on exporting and importing

Monitor and reviews U.S. Export / Import Regulations with respect to determination of product classifications and Harmonized Tariff Schedules and Export Control Classification Numbers

Administer the controls for reviewing and maintaining export compliance processes which includes compliance hold reviews for controlled products and destinations in addition to monitoring daily reports

Participate in compliance audits, review corrective actions, and evaluating site compliance including forwarders and brokers compliance

Monitor and maintain the record keeping for Import and Export Compliance which includes related databases

Provide support in Companys US Import Operations including Customs Brokers, timely Customs clearance, freight forwarders, and other government agencies

Work in conjunction with other departments as needed to define regulatory practices and provide guidance and assist in addressing compliance issues. Provide related training as needed

Work with the Department of Commerce, U.S. Census Bureau, U.S. Customs and Border Patrol and other applicable government agencies such as FDA, USDA, EPA, etc.

Education:

Bachelors Degree in a technical field such as engineering or business studies or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years work experience in areas of Foreign Trade Zone, International Transportation, or Logistics including strong emphasis on import and export compliance, USDA, FDA, and other government agencies controls. Strong with PC based systems and software related to document preparation, (Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, or similar programs)

Comprehensive knowledge of the U.S. Export Administration Regulations and U.S. Customs Regulations, import/export documentation and recordkeeping

Must posses the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout and evolving environment

Good communication presentation, analytical and interpersonal also required

Demonstrated verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to work in cross-functional teams

Strong organizational, multitasking, problem solving, and time management skills

Excellent attention to details and proficient recordkeeping and database maintenance skills required

Candidates must have strong FTZ and Export Licensing experience to be considered
