Trade Control Analyst
Job Description:
- Monitor the timely and accurate daily market exposure and profit and loss reporting for derivatives trading books
- Analyse and investigate pls trading results focusing on traders performance and market trends
- Spot and remedy any problems with relevant data (transaction, market or reference data)
- Develop and manage oil derivatives price quotation data and contribute to the development of the forward curve automation process
- Perform market liquidity assessments and coordinate the new product approval process together with all the internal relevant functions
- Monitor traders’ adherence against their delegated authority, contribute to the development of a mandate scheme to be implemented embedded in the ETRM system
- Monitor the daily derivatives trades validation process managing internal and external relationships
- Reconcile management information to accounting data on a timely and accurate basis
- Implement improve risk measures processes accordingly to the company policies and procedures
- Actively participating and contributing in the ETRM system implementation process designing the to be end of day closing process
- Contribute to new business initiatives, systems or process improvement projects
- Contribute to the improvement and automation of the daily exposure and results reporting processes
- Guarantee compliance for trading procedures with relevant controls
- Train other teams and share expertise
- Maintain a good knowledge of the market conditions and the eni underlying physical assets
Candidate Specification
- Mid-office experience; Relevant experience within a Risk Management environment in an OIL/GAS/POWER utility company / financial institution or pure trading company
- Knowledge of financial hedging on oil/products; knowledge of hedge accounting principle
- Knowledge of control processes applicable in a trading / regulated environment;
- Robust interpersonal communication skills
- Familiarity with asset commercial performance measurement concepts;
- Familiarity with trading tools such as Web Ice, CME Direct, Trayport, Bloomberg, Reuters
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, VBA
Qualifications:
- University degree preferably in Economics, Finance, Statistics or quantitative discipline. Banking/ Financial Service.
- Essential a proved knowledge of the market (i.e. Oil Derivatives)
- Knowledge of one or more ETS IT systems would be an advantage (Openlink, Zainet, Symphony)
