The Trade Control Group provides support for the short dated FX Exotic business transacted in London. Aligned with product and financial control we also have a major role in the development of new products and process to facilitate accurate and expedient trade execution. .
Trade Control is responsible for trade capture, data quality, trade lifecycle event management, query resolution front end to back and confirmation validation to front end system booking. The team works very closely with the Front office, Business Finance, Technology and Operations as well as other teams in support areas such as Collateral and Credit.
- Booking and valuing FX Spot, Forwards, Exotic and SWAPs trades
- Resolving risk and PnL queries from traders and product controllers
- Challenging existing processes and implementing improvements
- Enhancing existing controls
- Resolving all queries sent to the team by client services and documentation groups
Requirements
- Previous working experience in a Trade Control environment
- Demonstrable knowledge of exotic FX products
- Excellent communication skills – comfortable operating at all levels – including dealing with both FO and Operations
- Ability to multi-task: working on several projects and delivering results consistently
- Innovative and confident self starter able to challenge existing process and streamline to yield efficiencies in a complex environment
- VBA skills would be desirable but not essential
- Ability to contribute and work well within a team
