Trade Finance Manager recruitment
One of the worlds larger companies in bulk commodities is now seeking a Trade Finance Manager. Your objective is to challenge and build process that will effectively mitigate risk beyond approved credit limits with best practice management of trade finance tools and excellent relationship management skills.
Based in state of the art offices of their regional Hub in Singapore, your responsibilities will include:
- responsibility for contract management and administration
- working closely with the credit risk manager to ensure compliance with group counter party credit risk policy
- responsibility for managing trade finance arrangement, in particular letter of credit process in line with group policies
- working closely with the treasury operations manager to forecast cash flow in support of the Hubs working capital management
- responsibility for collating shipping documentation and maintaining physical file
- commercial invoice creation and accounts receivable
- support international operational logistics
- verification of despatch, demurrage calculations prior to payment
- provision of support as needed to sales managers and teams around the globe
- provide input to budget and forecasting
To be successful you will need prior experience in managing credit risk using trade finance instruments such as letter of credit, standby letters of credit, silent guarantees, discounting and forfeiting. Experience with documentary letters of credit is essential preferably within the commodity sector. You should also be able to talk confidently about logistics and supply chain management of commodities in addition to having sound knowledge of port and shipping logistics operations.
