Trade Finance Operational Risk recruitment
My large banking client is currently recruiting for a Trade Documentation Risk specialist. You will have broad exposure to trade finance and a good understanding of Master Risk Participation Agreements.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Transaction review and oversight at the pre-approval/pre-sanction stage to include documentary due diligence and deal structuring input and expertise.
- Advise Front office on the risk issues involved in relevant transactions as and when required, and in particular, bespoke structures generated from the Branches and network Trade team, and work towards providing an acceptable solution to the customer whilst protecting the Banks position.
- On a transactional level, assist the Manager with negotiate and complete legal, risk and audit requirements of the relevant trade documentation in respect of the requirements of the parties, at all times protecting the risks of the Bank and adhering to sanction and policy.
- Liaising with purchase and sale counterparties on relevant aspects of documentation and procedures to close transactions, including the schedules under MRPA for unfunded and funded transactions.
- Understanding of different types of rate fixings i.e. fixed assets on a Discount to Yield compounding and non compounding and floating rate transactions
- Working closely with other areas in Trade Operations, Deal Management Team, IT systems, legal, credit risk, compliance and overseas Branches and other relevant areas as part of E2E transaction completion and risk monitoring.
