Trade Floor Support
Key Skills :
- Proven experience providing support in demanding environment, particularly financial institutions
- Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with senior Business managers
- Be comfortable working in a constantly changing environment
- A proven track record of performing under time pressure and working to tight deadlines
- Flexibility to be part of an early morning duty roster and regularly work out of normal business hours, often at short notice
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 2 year of Desktop technical support in a Trading Floor Environment or at least 3 years in a large enterprise environment
- Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Excellent desktop troubleshooting and performance analysis skills
- Excellent Market Data skills, especially with Reuters and Bloomberg
- Solid understanding of networks and Windows clients servers, and the ability to assist the local 2nd and regional 3rd line engineers in fault finding
- Good understanding of Voice systems (IP phones, Blackberry, ) and the ability to manage 1st level/vendor support
- Practical knowledge of Remote Access technologies
- Solid understanding of Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and testing procedure
- Strong Communication skills, articulating problem and solution to all levels from very technical to comprehensive/synthetic for senior management
- Understanding risks and impacts of any given incident, solution or mass deployment for the Business
- Educated to degree level in relevant computer science, information technology discipline
