Trade Origination Director recruitment
As Trade Origination Director you would be required to:
- Achieve aggressive growth in volumes, revenues and profitability for Corporate Institutional Banking Transaction Services Clients.
- Cross-sell a wide range of complex Trade solutions to existing and new Corporate Institutional Banking clients
- Work with Transaction Services Regional Director in leading/ developing and executing asset class/ sector sales strategies.
- Work closely with Corporate Institutional Banking client facing executives (Sector Directors Coverage Directors) to grow the Transaction Services business.
- Take on primary regional responsibility for interface with Global Restructuring Group
Key responsibilities:
- Penetrate new Corporate and Large Corporate clients with Trade products and services.
- Plan/review selected sector/asset classes, strategies specific account planning in close coordination with the Corporate and Large Corporate sector/coverage directors.
- Update and maintain sales pipelines in the Transaction Services Pipeline system.
- Understand and analyse the market potential for Trade solutions and provide inputs for their development / enhancement and market positioning.
- Visit client calling programme (min quarterly) to strengthen customer relationships, ensuring agreed service levels are delivered, market/industry initiatives are communicated and new opportunities are identified.
- Develop an in depth understanding of client needs, engaging with Product Advisory / Management, Client Services, Risk Management for developing tailored solutions.
- Remain updated on the current status of major customer implementations and new product roll-outs impacting own clients.
- Keep updated on changes in external environment impacting the business i.e.
- Macro-economic factors like overnight rates of key currencies, credit availability, country availability.
- Trends in open a/c trading etc. - Work with product management teams within TS to formulate tactical plans to manage changes in external environment
- Monitor and manage credit limits utilisation with the Relationship Managers where appropriate/as agreed.
- Constantly updated on compliance and risk procedures in the bank/market.
- Identify and escalate internal inefficiencies work out solutions for process improvement.
- Responsible to support and leverage Transaction Services global network liaising with/developing relationships with key Transaction Services Inbound teams.
The Individual:
- Market leading Trade Finance sales experience in a major corporate or with a market leading institution.
- A strong proven track record of developing and cultivating Corporate and Large Corporate client relationships.
- An understanding of the current and future drivers of Transaction Services
- In-depth knowledge of the Trade products and a comprehensive understanding of Transaction Services product suite.
- Local language and good English - both written and verbal
