Trade Processing Analyst recruitment
Role description
Responsible for capturing trades executed by the external fund managers within the assigned mandate with the objective of ensuring that both treasury and equity trades are settled by custodians and internally booked on the systems in an accurate and timely manner.
Liaise with External Fund Managers and custodians to ensure smooth execution and capture of external trades and timely reconciliation of trade related issues
Assist in investigating and following up trade capture related issues (e.g. late or inaccurate processing) involving respective internal and external parties (i.e. External Fund Managers)
Suggest system enhancements and process changes to existing systems and procedures. Suggest the implementation of SWIFT trade capture by ensuring that External Fund Managers migrate to SWIFT
Update maintain static database of External Fund Managers to reflect appointment of a new External Fund Manager, change of name, details on new transaction or security types, etc.)
Review and investigate outstanding standard reconciliation issues related to External Fund Managers or the Accounts Department. Either initiate or monitor necessary steps to resolve them
Ensure that reported reconciliation issues are resolved quickly and efficiently; ensure that the necessary information has been sent to and / or received by the Accounts Department
Process securities transfers between External Fund Managers based on instructions of Investment Departments and ensure that these are booked in an accurate and timely manner
Based on instructions from Investment Departments, send necessary instructions transfer lists to custodians via SWIFT secure communication, to effect inter-fund transitions, cash movements and advise any standing instructions
Proactively contribute to timely and accurate delivery of assigned responsibilities and is able to provide constructive comments on ideas within own area/sector
Support other staff in the External Trade Capture section as and when required
Escalate queries as required, providing a clear and concise explanation of the issue
Participate in discussions on and provide input to special projects under way in the department (e.g. IT project)
Who we're looking for
University degree ESSENTIAL
Relevant experience in a processing and settlement related field within a Bank or Fund Manager
Good excel skills are also required.
