Team Overview
The role sits within the Trade Processing department which forms part of the London Portfolio Services division. A major contributor to the success of the division is the highly motivated people who work here. The incumbent will report directly to the Settlements Trade Support Team Leader and will be responsible for ensuring timely settlement of Equity, Fixed Income and Unit Trust trades in global markets and the processing trade amendments and Share Exchanges. The team currently consists of eight individuals. The successful candidate will possess expertise within this function, and be able to demonstrate the key skills required to perform this role to the high standards required.

Key responsibilities
- Record settlement issues as advised by Custodians and Brokers.
- Take remedial action where necessary to ensure contractual settlement.
- Investigate and resolve trades that fail to achieve settlements by contractual settlement date.
- Process Share Exchanges.
- Process trade amendments as required.
- Maintain trade related static data.
- Plan own workload typically against a backdrop of changing priorities and/or external events.
- Collate statistics.
- Escalate issues to management that fall outside agreed service standards where appropriate.
- Ensure business controls are implemented and adhered to.
Essential Skills
- A levels or equivalent.
- Familiarity with trade processing systems.
- Comprehension of global Equity, Fixed Income and Unit Trust processing requirements.
- Previous Financial Services Operations experience, preferably in settlements.
- Systems: SWIFT, Alert, OMGEO CTM, Bloomberg, Salerio, Charles River
