Applications are now sought from experienced and qualified Trade Repair Officers to join our Townsville based team in Queensland. The Trade Repair Officer is responsible for the maintenance and the technical inspection of designated land materials undergoing material maintenance services both internally and externally. 
 
Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Managing the technical, financial and operational performance of trade repair sub-contracts
• Performing, planning and coordinating material maintenance technical investigations and inspections
• Carrying out the timely repair and maintenance of military vehicles and equipment in accordance with Defence
  and BAE Systems procedures
• Identifying required parts, requisitioning and receipting through the quality management system production
  and procurement processes and delivering to sub-contractors
• Entering and maintaining data into Defence and BAE Systems electronic database and material maintenance
  systems

As the ideal applicant, you will have:

• Technical trade qualifications (Certificate III Level)
• Sound working knowledge of equipment maintenance requirements
• Demonstrated experience in liaising with the customer and subcontractors on technical and schedule issues
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork and motivational skills
• Reliable, proactive and flexible approach to work
• Ability to prioritise work effectively and to manage a range of tasks across multiple trade agencies

Whilst not essential, experience working with defence equipment and a medium or heavy rigid licence will be highly regarded.
