Trade Support Analyst- Derivatives
Job Description
- Being a first point of contact for the Front Office, PL team, other Business partners and derivatives customers- specifically swaps, total return swaps, credit derivatives, interest rate swaps
- Monitoring and alerting of critical trading system environments
- Proactive identification and resolution of problem hotspots
- Supporting derivitives products and performing daily reconciliations to ensure that the team operates in a safe and controlled environment in order to minimize operational risk
- Responsible for Trade validation and Trade Event management and reporting
- Build Yield Curve and Option Volatility surfaces to ensure correct PL and Risk calculation
- Being actively engaged in business process re-engineering including system implementations. Identify system issues and limitations and propose solutions/requirements to further build out the required technology.
Desired Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of applicable experience (Operations, Middle Office, Derivatives) Derivatives experience a MUST- (specifically- Swaps, Total Return Swaps, Credit Derivatives, Interest Rate Derivatives)
- Strong Excel skills (VBA and/or SQL skills)
- Must be able to fully understand the impact of current and future IT developments on existing Trade Support processes and play a role in their implementation.
- Ensures effective planning and execution of client deliverables on a timely basis
- The candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor's degree, preferably with an Accounting, Finance or Economics major
- Good written/verbal communication skills.
