   Overall Objectives:

This position has a high level of responsibility in the Investment Management Services group servicing State Street international clients and products. The prime areas of responsibility are to provide support to the Equity, Fixed Income, Derivatives FX Products in Asia Pac providing trade confirmation trade instruction services.

The prime systems to be utilized are:

• Settlements System
• Standing Settlement Instructions System
• Omgeo CTM
• Omgeo ALERT
• GTSS
• SWIFT

and the standard State Street desktop applications.

The objective of this position is confirm and transmit all trades on a timely and accurate basis using the systems provided following policy procedure. This function involves a high degree of broker, custodian and trading professional contact and the ability work in close communication eith regional and global peers.

Prime Functions:

1. Ensuring that all trades executed on Trade Date are confirmed in a timely and accurate manner.
2. Ensuring that all trades executed on Trade Date are advised to the custodian bank(s), or interested parties via SWIFT, fax, email in a timely and accurate manner.
3. Review and resolution of any discrepancies confirmation issues on trade date and settlement issues prior to settlement date.
4. Setting up and maintaining settlement instructions for brokers in appropriate systems.
5. Set up and maintain good broker relationship to develop 2-ways Operational Excellence.
6. Matching and confirmation of all foreign exchange trades executed on FX Connect using GTSS manual/fax confirmations.
7. Reconcile Futures positions with Clearers on daily monthly basis.

In addition to the above the position also requires a high degree of involvement with regard to future automation within the department as a whole, with a direct objective of increased efficiency, accuracy and productivity. Qualifications Preferably a graduate.
Experience of equity/ fixed income /derivatives and Foreign Exchange systems would be useful.
Minimum 1 year working experience in Trade confirmation and Settlement.

Skills Attributes:

Must enjoy working within a team, and be able to communicate to at all levels (both orally, and in writing), as a high degree to liaison is required.
The candidate should be mature and have flexible approach to a multi tasking work environment especially when dealing with overseas offices in different time zones.
Clear understanding of current computer technology in the industry, and the changing market as related to the Asset Management Business.
Good Microsoft Office skill will be an absolute advantage to this position.
Other Asia languages skill is certainly a credit.
