Global Banking Markets includes corporate banking, investment banking and sales trading. The group provides services to middle-market and large corporations, government entities and institutional investors. Work closely with the Trading Desk to support the business across asset classes and perform Trade Control Responsibilities such as –
Required:
- Excellent organisational skills are required with the ability to prioritise daily workload whilst working accurately under pressure
- Strong communication and negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of seniority
- Previous experience in dealing with internal and external clients
- Ability to rapidly learn and understand new tasks presented and quickly commit to memory in a high volume environment
- Logical approach to problem solving taking ownership and offering practical solutions
- Proven analytical skills including data reconciliation and interpretation
- A strong numerical mind set with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to identify and deliver process improvements
- Competence in databases, excel (macros, formulas)and outlook
- Flexibility to travel for initial training period (approx 2-4weeks further flexibility maybe required)

Experience of Investment Banking Products from a Middle Office or Back Office background
- Trade Booking and Validation – Timely and accurate management of trade capture process to ensure all trades are booked according to terms of underlying agreement in both Front-Office and down-stream applications
- Collateral reconciliation – Validate moves in positions and Make to Markets (MtM) in relation to daily collateral calls
- Provide support to assigned trading desks – Support the Trading desk across all Middle-Office functions in a timely and accurate manor
- Ongoing Trade maintenance – Manage trade lifecycle events such as resets, fixings, substitutions, credit default events, expiries and Maturities
- Investigate and resolve position breaks – Work closely with Front and Back Office to resolve breaks (eg. Cash, Positions, Valuations etc)
- Production of daily reports – Distribute Daily reports to the Trading desk and Senior Management (requiring a high level of attention to detail)
- Resolve Risk and PL issues - Work closely with MO Risk and PL to resolve issues in a timely manner
