Trade Workflow Development – Technical Lead recruitment
This opportunity is to lead a geographically distributed development team responsible for the core trade processing application for the Non Linear Interest Rate business group. It performs key functions including those relating to trade capture, feeds to risk, settlements, confirmations, option expiry management.
There is an ambitious change schedule for the remainder of 2012 and into 2013 that will see the application extended to support the Structured Credit business together with numerous system enhancements.
The application is developed by a small core team of London based developers together with an expanding offshore team based in Bucharest. The development follows agile principles, with production releases of the system being made every three weeks.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Working with Operations business analysis teams to understand requirements
- Defining technically sound, supportable and commercial solutions to business requirements
- Working with the onshore and offshore teams to ensure the requirements and design are well understood and that work is appropriately estimated and prioritised
- Ensuring all stakeholders; including operations and trading are aware of key developments
- Working with the QA team to ensure the appropriate levels of automated tests are implemented
- Working with Equities IT colleagues to ensure the overall design of Klondike remains fit for purpose
As the ideal candidate you have significant experience developing middle/back office applications, and working closely with operations change teams to define requirements. Knowledge and experience of settlement and confirmations processing is highly beneficial.
Key technical skill requirements are:
- Java, Spring, Hibernate
- Experience of managing offshore development teams
- Experience of working on agile development projects
- Some exposure to C#/ .Net is desirable
