Trader Analyst recruitment
The Trader/ Research Analyst will take on multiple responsibilities including creating new trading ideas for the quantitative analyst(s) to develop. Implement those trading strategies until proven they work and can be automated. Execute the trades providing real time feedback. Ensure the trade execution is optimized.
Create new trading ideas- Use traditional and Wall Street connections to create trading Ideas- Apply technical analysis (price,volume,momentum, etc) to increase trade confidence of our proprietary methods- Monitor impact world and market events on trade strategies and design efficient exits when trends are not in the sweet spot of our proprietary methods
Execute trades
- Initially trade long/short a narrow variety of instruments including highly liquid equities and ETFs- Future plans include currencies, bonds, commodities, and futures- Improve the implementation process, including enhancing the electronic trading systems by working with the development team to define and test new features/capabilities
- Ability to do the systems analysis to enable quantitative analyst(s) to code the strategies in the existing trading system to enhance performance
Optimize trade execution- Monitor prime broker relationship and trade execution strategies to ensure most cost effective methods are used
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years experience with intra-day low to medium volume trading
- Strong cognitive and visualization skills- Exquisite Excel skills
- Some C++ , JAVA, Perl or VBA experience preferred
- A bachelors degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics and/or masters degree in the previous or finance with strong GPA
