My client, a tier one bank is looking to expand their power trading platform. They have been building their energy team recently and see this as a crucial appointment. They are seeking to hire a SVP level trader with a focus on the core European markets to help build on the team’s success.
Responsibilities for senior physical power trading role:
• Being part of an expanding energy trading team within a successful and global bank.
• Deepening knowledge of the power and gas markets across Europe.
• Successfully trade a power book.
• Provide additional support to grow the power trading team.
Skills / Attributes required for the role:
- Big appetite for progression and to develop a team in time.
- Experience of power markets in core European countries e.g. Italy, Germany, and France.
- Candidate would ideally be based in London and have experience of a bank.
- 3-6 years of previous book experience.
- Backgrounds preferred are from Tier 1 banks.
