Trading Accountant recruitment

Primary responsibilities
- Full accountability for transactions for the Grains Division, including realized and unrealized pl with accountability 1 to 2 trading desks
- Preparing, reviewing and analyzing financial reports for pl and balance sheet
- Booking ledger entries and controlling inventory, receivables, accruals and intercompany balances
- Reviewing mark to market reporting for physical, futures and foreign exchange transactions
- Oversight to the maintenance of regular billing and inventory control
Required Skills
- Significant experience in a trading environment required, ideally but not necessarily with exposure to soft commodities
- Bachelor degree with a minimum of 3 years experience in accounting.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a proactive, innovating approach to work
- High degree of dedication and able to deliver in a fast paced and complex environment. Must be highly self motivated
Required Experience
- Financial accounting and reporting knowledge and strong appreciation of controls
- Accounting for transactions for the Grains Division, including realized and unrealized pl with accountability to Grains traders
- Preparing, reviewing and analyzing financial reports for pl and balance sheet
- Identifying and implementing process improvements
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting accuracy and financial discipline and governance
- Experience of trading systems and Sun and HFM financial applications valuable
