The Position
In this challenging position you will be challenged to strike a perfect balance between firm deadlines and long-term sustainability. As a member of our development team, you support the availability of cutting-edge applications to automate international trading processes in close cooperation with the traders.
Day-to-day responsibilities include Application support, management of application performance, bug fixing, failure analysis, development of maintenance scripts and monitoring IT-related trends. You are able to operate in a dynamic trading environment where complex challenges require innovative solutions and are aware that actions contribute to profit and loss of the company.
Your Profile
- A hands-on and pragmatic attitude, willing to take ownership;
- At least 3 to 5 years experience in development languages C++ and JAVA;
- Understanding of the Financial industry and products;
- Practical experience with Bloomberg tools;
- Knowledge of Database Administration;
- Experience in either windows and / or UNIX/Linux platform;
- Ability to formulate out-of-the-box solutions that optimize systems performance.
- Fluent English communication skills
- A flexible yet decisive mind that is comfortable with the fast changing pace of the financial markets.
