Trading Floor P&L + Risk Analysis (Fixed Income Exotics) – Possible Front Office Progression (40
The individual will begin working in a PL + Risk reporting and analysis role, supporting and facing off to the fixed income exotics Trading Desk. You are to take sole ownership over a specific product area and therefore solely mange the relationship with the traders of that asset class.
Their business model supports organic growth. Ideal top performers are trained in this function to then make the move in to other areas of the business. Typically this has included valuations, risk, project management and also the front office (ex-product controllers are now traders and structurers). In order to assist you with such progression, the employer encourages individuals to take the CFA qualification and pays for this in full with additional study leave included.
We are looking for candidates that have a very strong academic record including an Msc in a quantitative, mathematical or science subject. Whilst we can look for fresh Msc graduates (only if they have banking internship experience), the client would ideally hire an individual that has 1-2yrs experience working for a banking institution (in a front office support, PL or risk role).
The client is offering a 35k base salary for Msc graduates and a 40-50k base salary for candidates that have performed a relevant role since graduation. A strong bonus package supports the base salary and is without doubt stronger than any of its competitors for a role at this level.
