Trading Floor P&L + Risk Analyst recruitment
A major, growing Investment Bank is looking for a strong individual to join its Front Office support function due to recent large business growth and heavily increased trading volumes across all of its Desks.
The individual will work in a PL/Risk reporting and analysis role, supporting and facing off against the IB's structured product Trading Desks (Equity, Credit, Rates and Commodities), taking ownership for one specific asset class but being cross trained across asset classes. You will work in an extremely strong team of six, in a role that would constantly see you facing off against Head Traders, owning such relationships in what is a unique environment and remit for a Product Controller.
The business model is proven to show that that individuals within this team will be trained over a period of 2-3 years to then make the move in to Valuations, Risk or the Front Office. This is shown by 13 top performing members of the Product Control department (12 people) in the past three years having moved in to Trading or Structuring roles. In order to assist you with such progression, the employer encourages individuals to take the CFA qualification and pays for its costs in full, in addition to providing study and exam leave.
We are looking for candidates that have a very strong academic record (A's in Maths/Science, first or 2:1 in Maths, Science or Economics) and an Msc in a quantitative, mathematical or science subject. The client would have a preference for a candidate that has specifically performed a Middle Office role within an Investment Bank for 1-3 years, however, any Banking experience backed up by excellent academics and the right drive would be suitable.
A large bonus package is available due to the success of the IB and this supports a base salary in line with (but not above) the market rate
