• A rare and exciting opportunity for an exceptional IT Risk and Controls professional (BCP/DR, IT Security, IT Risk, IT Governance) to join a 24-hour global trading team in Bermuda.
• Your primary focus will be to help ensure that the IT (Operational) risk exposure of the Trading Team is controlled.
• This senior role presents a great opportunity for the right individual to drive forward and take IT and trading related risk management to the next level in a very technology focused company.

Some of the things you’ll drive:
• Promote a risk and controls culture within the Trading function
• Lead risk assessments and review new project change initiatives to provide risk oversight for Trading Technology projects
• Strengthen Trading systems risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and control strategies and internal control frameworks
• Ensure alignment with and lead gap remediation against firm-wide and industry-standard risk control objectives
• Engage and influence senior stakeholders across the business such as Internal Audit, Global Risk, Compliance, and IT Governance in a partnership to ensure objectives are met and strong relationships maintained
• Liaise with external auditors on behalf of the Trading function
• Drive improvements in IT Governance, Information Security, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
• Prepare and present high-quality IT (Operational) Risk reports and analysis for management and operational consumption
• Investigate risk incidents and drive remediation plans
• Participate in firm Crisis Response Team and coordinate disaster recovery efforts for Trading

Technical qualifications:
oA thorough understanding of IT risk and controls within a Finance (preferably front office) environment
1.At least 3 years relevant experience within IT or Risk in a financial organization (preferably Trading / Asset Management);
2.Familiarity with IT control and audit frameworks (e.g. COBIT / CISA, CISM, or similar)
3.Experience with business continuity (disaster recovery) planning
oHands-on systems development and data analysis experience
1.Demonstrable proficiency in VB.Net or C#.Net programming and Excel tools; 3 or more years of experience
2.Demonstrable proficiency with developing queries for relational database management systems (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server); 3 or more years of experience
3.Strong working knowledge of IT Processes, IT Security, and IT Infrastructure
oA first-class academic record
1.University degree in Computer Science or similar discipline
oExperience managing staff is preferred
