Trading Operations Analyst recruitment
This position is part of Trading Operations and sits within a collaborative team environment liaising with the Trade Execution desk, Research, Investment Operations as well as the Technology teams. The main focus of the role is ensuring efficient operation of the AHL Trading System within an operations and Trade execution environment. The role also involves the management of short and long term projects to enhance the trading system and aid with the day to day tasks. Being based in the trading space, this opportunity offers huge business exposure as well as exposure to a wide range of asset classes.
Responsibilities
• Accountable for the daily operation and support of AHL Trading Systems through use of in-house software applications
• Work closely with Trade Execution to maintain and update the AHL Trading System; acting as a link between Research and Execution to implement updates and directly influence trading.
• Quality assurance of intraday market data which is integral to real-time trading signal generation
• Review the integrity of system generated trades using different tools
• Accurate implementation of trading system configuration updates
• Testing software upgrades and new applications on the trading system
• Accurate record keeping for compliance and audit controls
• Strict adherence to change control management procedures
Candidates should have the following skills and experience:
• IT/Science/Business degree or equivalent experience
• Meticulous approach to data entry and checking to ensure accuracy as well as great attention to detail
• A high level of general IT literacy is essential, with programming and scripting skills in SQL/Unix/Python (or similar languages) highly preferable
• Strong knowledge of financial markets as well as a good understanding of financial instruments and how they are traded is required, previous experience in Financial Services is desirable
• Strong communication skills, as well as the ability to influence and persuade
