ALM Division-Americas Treasury Department (ATD)
The Americas Treasury Division (ATD) plays a key role in facilitating the daily balance of assets and liabilities, providing funding for MHBK in the Americas by participating in the money markets and trading with other banks and financial institutions to generate liquidity for the branches in the Americas to make loans. The division also provides services to the bank’s corporate customers by furnishing them with competitive quotes for permitted foreign exchange and derivative products, denominated in currencies for which ATD makes a market.
The ALM Desk of the Banking Section is responsible for managing loan, time deposit and interest swaps related to hedge operations and currency swaps for foreign currency funding.
Summary
Assist in managing ALM operation for the Banking Section.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Manage loan, time deposit and interest rate swap related to hedge operation and currency swap for foreign currency funding
Assist in managing cash position
Assist in Money Market operation (CD, Interbank, etc)
Assist in making all necessary reports related to risk management for the Section
Assist in analysis on ATD’s balance sheet and liquidity condition
Assist in managing daily final balance with Fed Reserve account
Cooperate with the related departments to enhance business with external and internal customers
Administrative activities of the ALM Desk
Assist in planning activities for the ALM Desk
Qualifications
Eligible to work in the US
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration
3+ years financial services experience
Intermediate/advanced level of Word and Excel
Good understanding of financial statements
Strong analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Japanese language fluency is preferred but not required
