Trading Room Control – Senior Manager recruitment
This team provides independent oversight for the Front office and is in place to report on risks that expose the dealing room to rogue traders or other unauthorised activity. The ideal candidate should have had high exposure within an internal controls function and should have had experience within Global Markets.
Roles and responsibilities;
- Manage the global team in delivering a comprehensive Dealing Room Control function
- Provide clear escalation and reporting of findings to senior management on a timely basis
- Identify control weaknesses that could expose Global Markets to unauthorised trading, censure from regulators or any other adverse consequences and escalate accordingly.
- Own the related systems that support the function and ensure that these are fit for purpose.
Skills required;
- Previous experience in Dealing Room Control or a similar function at another bank is preferred.
- Experience in a control function is highly preferable, given the strong control focus of this role.
- A good working knowledge of financial products, trading systems and front to back workflows and wider bank operating models is required.
- Experience managing a team in different locations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written oral.
- Previous experience with managing IT projects as a system owner.
- Microsoft Office experience, including advanced Excel.
