Trading Support Assistant(Equities & Fixed Income/Asset Mgt)
Responsibilities:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills and a good eye for details to fill the role of a Trading Assistant in the Global Trading Unit.
- Support both the Equities and Fixed Income Traders and will be required to interact with people at all levels in other departments.
- Work closely with other members of the team to support the Traders in Singapore, London and New York.
- Responsible for checking and booking-out of trades and ensuring that trades are correctly assigned with the right details before uploading to the Back Office.
- Liaise with external parties to resolve discrepancies.
- Providing operational support for the investment trade cycle.
- Preparing and generating reports to meet management reporting requirements.
- Work with other departments to gather required information.
- Maintaining and updating internal databases.
- Participating in user testing of internal systems.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of the financial instruments is a prerequisite of the position.
- May involve working irregular hours in a dynamic department; the candidate must, therefore, be flexible.
- The candidate should possess a recognised Diploma with preferably 1-2 years of working experience.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Candidates with advanced working knowledge of Excel will be preferred.
- The candidate is required to be a team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Should have a keen eye for details and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
