Trading Technology PM/BA required for 12 month contract
The successful applicant will be expected to lead a technology project involving the build and integration of a front office system to support the firm's Commodities investment team. This position will require initially to conduct a business requirements analysis, evaluate the clients existing solutions against those requirements, and then project managing the development and integration of the proposed solutions.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Lead the business requirements gathering, product selection and solution delivery phases
* Management of Senior Stakeholders from the Front Office, Operations and Risk teams
* Carry out weekly and monthly project and budgetary reports
* The project will involve working with regional locations and ensuring that communication is sufficient
* Chair project steering committees as well as preparing any necessary documentation
* Drive and lead the delivery through the in-house development team
Technical Skills Required
Essential:
* Proven Project Management experience within the front office and trading technology space
* Excellent understanding of derivatives and futures trading and risk management
* Prior exposure to facing off to steering committees, challenging front office stakeholders and giving the project team both motivation and direction
* Strong background leading development projects, as well as a solid understanding of the software development life-cycle
* Excellent issues management with the an ability to keep clients and project team focussed on delivery
Beneficial:
* Understanding of data architecture principles and data management challenges which affect investment management firms and processes
* An understanding of compliance procedures and investment operational support
* Hands on experience of Charles River
