Trading/Business Analyst
The Millburn Corporation, an alternative investment asset management firm managing over $1.8 billion and with over 30 years of experience, is seeking a Trading/Business Analyst to work in our New York office. The Millburn Corporation executes trades using systematic trading methodologies for a global diversified portfolio of financial and commodity futures and currency forwards.
The Trading/Business Analyst is responsible for executing the investment strategies of the firm and working with a successful quantitative, systematic macro team in continuously refining trading models, developing execution algorithms, post-trade analytics as well as assisting in the development of new investment strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Execute trades according to our systematic logic
- Identify, highlight and work on improvements in trade implementation
- Evaluate new fundamental, macro-economic and price data that can be utilized within the trading models
- Collaborate with other teams to design, validate and implement automated trading components
- Conduct targeted post-trade analysis
This candidate will be a member of the Trading department. The Trading desk operates in a 24x6 environment. The hours associated with this position, and most positions on the Trading desk, change shifts approximately every 3-4 months. The candidate must be flexible to work these changing shifts throughout the course of the year.
Qualifications
· At least 1 year of experience in a buy side, sell side or an independent research firm involved with automated trading strategies and/or execution algorithm development.
· Excellent computer/quantitative skills.
· Prioritizes and multi-tasks well under pressure.
· Strong Excel and VBA skills to work closely with technology/programmers.
· Prior experience with Bloomberg or Reuters 3000 Extra
· Self-motivated, curious, and detail-oriented; ability to work independently and within a team to produce quality deliverables
· A creative problem solver eager to take on difficult tasks and manage a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment
· Excellent written and communication skills
