Traffic Engineer Job in Tysons Corner, Virginia Us
VHB is seeking a traffic engineer willing to invest in and grow their career with our vibrant mid-Atlantic transportation consulting practice in our Tysons Corner, Virginia office.
Responsibilities:
- Working with urban geometric design and traffic operations
- Play an integral role in the completion of technical studies, preparation of corresponding plans and documentation
- Grow in client and project management responsibilities
- Transportation needs assessments, corridor reviews, traffic operations and safety studies, signal design, traffic impact studies, and transportation master plans
Skills Abilities:
- Have excellent written and verbal communication and public consultation skills
- Enjoy working on a diverse range of projects with a willingness to travel (to serve projects from our branch offices)
Qualifications:
- 5 - 10 years of increasingly responsible professional traffic engineering experience
- Bachelor?s degree in civil engineering
- Experience working with both public and private sector clients is a plus
- Expertise in SYNCHRO, CORSIM, VISSIM or related traffic software is essential and experience with Civil3D, AutoCAD and/or Microstation is a plus
- Registration as a professional civil engineer in the State of Virginia and/or registration as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) is highly desirable VHB is proud to be an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
