Trailer Shop Repairman JOB SUMMARY This position maintains, repairs, and rebuilds Company trailers. Essential Functions Maintains trailers and their mechanical systems, such as brake seals, lighting systems, and air systems. Performs alignments on trailers. Uses the latest technology and equipment to repair the structure and mechanical systems of wrecked trailers. Additional Duties and Responsibilities Enters work order information into the computer, indicating such things as type of repair, parts used, and beginning and ending times. Keeps work area clean. Maintains Company uniforms by turning them in to be laundered when dirty. Performs other related duties as assigned. Job Specifications Education Must be 18 years of age or older. Skills Requires good computer skills and the ability to work independently with good follow through. Mental Demands Requires knowledge of sheet metal and its tooling and the ability to understand and apply general knowledge of trailer structure. Physical Demands Requires the use of safety goggles and other protective equipment; the ability to lift 100 lbs. to shoulder level while sitting; the ability to use hand tools, welders, torches, and plasma cutters; the ability to use a computer; and the ability to perform essential duties and responsibilities efficiently, accurately and safely with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing threat of harm to self or others.
