One of the UK's leading professional services companies is currently seeking intelligent, articulate and well motivated individuals across the Midlands to join their Audit, Tax Advisory (ATA) department. The company is an award winning Top 10 UK accounting practice, recognised as the most dynamic and fast growing within the profession.
Ideal applicants for the role will have achieved 3 C's or higher at A level, with 12 GCSEs at grade A - C. You must be able to demonstrate an interest in accountancy and an ambition to develop a career within the field. Part AAT qualification plus prior experience within a practice environment would be an advantage, however neither is essential. You will be a highly motivated, numerate and ambitious individual with a mature and professional attitude, plus excellent communication skills. Good IT skills will also be required.
As an AAT Trainee you will train towards AAT professional qualification, while at the same time completing assignments as an active member of the ATA division. Key tasks may include:
o Accounts preparation for a variety of clients
o Bookkeeping
o Processing VAT returns and payroll
o Assisting in the preparation of management accounts
o Working at clients' premises as part of an audit team
