Trainee Head-Hunter to work with Director on Senior Placements in Asset Management recruitment
We are an international head hunting boutique, specialised in Asset Management which has an impressive client-list spanning most of the top international Banks and Law Firms around the world. As we are a global company working with a number of top clients we are currently experiencing an extremely busy recruitment period where we are hiring at all levels.
The Company Director is heavily involved in working on a number of the company’s top clients and one of the roles will be to support the Director’s deal-making from both the candidate and the client side.
We are seeking someone who aspires to be a top head-hunter or consultant in a very niche area of the Funds Industry across Asia and Europe. You should have an entrepreneurial mindset, the ability to make things happen, and an optimistic approach that enables you to do great things. Initially you will be supporting the Directors deals, and will be taught key selection tactics, how to provide a service to our clients that matches their high expectations, and how to make a name for yourself in our industry. As the Director is frequently occupied externally on events and conferences in other countries, you will be relied on to provide key services to clients and to maintain communication with important and high-profile candidates.
Ideally you have a background in sales either during your studies, or for a year or two since leaving university. You are mature for your age, can assume responsibility, highly motivated and an out-of-the-box thinker. You are not afraid of speaking to senior players in the industry. This role is a fast track career path for the right person, being trained by one of the best in the Industry.

We have offices in Singapore, Hong Kong and Europe – London, Luxembourg, Frankfurt and Paris.
We are an international firm based in Singapore with a team that travels frequently to various Asian Countries. We currently hold a number of key accounts which demand a high level of service and attention although you will be expected to develop business in the future. You will liaise with candidates as well as clients and your most important initial skill will be to map out key areas of the market. Hence, there will be opportunities to run your own accounts. Being the highly entrepreneurial company that we are, the Directors are busy developing new areas and we will look to you for both your account management skills and your business development skills. We have a large amount of business already on our books and this will be your main concern initially. We want to find your best skills and develop them, so whether you are a focused on deliverer or a new business developer you are just as valuable to our team. We have a human approach that reflects our sensitivity to our market and client-base where integrity is a key.
Ideally you speak native English as well as fluent Mandarin language. However, if you feel that your application is still strong but you are unable to speak Chinese, we would still be interested to hear from you.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
• Oversee and conduct initial research into target organizations and industry sectors
• Identifying candidates, across sectors, and qualifications
• Communicating with candidates, preparing for interviews, providing feedback
• Communicating with clients, managing key accounts, providing search reports
• Capture and maintain accurate market, client and candidate information on the company’s database
• Approach suitable candidates and screen against agreed competencies and criteria for each project
• Participation in candidate interviews along with Consultant.
SKILLS /EXPERIENCE:
• Degree in any subject, minimum 2.2
• Highly mature outlook and strong sense of responsibility
• Strong judgement skills – a natural ability to read people and situations quickly
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Fluent Mandarin and English
• Lateral thinker
• Enthusiastic and resilient and persistent
• Results orientated and delivery focused
• MS Office and the Internet
• Organised
