Job Purpose:
Participates in a one-year developmental training program to gain leadership and sales experience to be a successful member of a future region management team. The Management Trainee Program is designed to develop individuals into frontline supervisory roles. In this position, individuals will be assigned activities and projects wherein they will gain a working knowledge of the day-to-day handling of a branch’s sales and operations.

Job Summary:

Store Operations - Observes and participates in the solicitation and servicing of new and existing customers to maintain and increase the company’s customer base and to achieve rental, sales and service revenue goals. Gains a complete understanding of marketplace conditions to maximize rental fleet efficiencies and utilization.

Sales Development – Observes and participates in the identification and creation of rental service and sales opportunities to achieve rental and sales revenue goals. Gains an understanding of relationship development with key decision makers and end users to promote customer satisfaction within assigned area. Shadows the District Sales Manager or District Manager to understand scope of sales management. Participates in sales calls as part of sales training requirements.

Team Leadership – Observes and participates in the coordination of all rental equipment operations for an assigned location. Gains an understanding of how effective branch management promotes the attainment of location revenue and operational goals. Leads Operational Excellence initiatives in the branch. Under supervision, approves employee work schedules and worked time through Kronos system, conducts employee training, holds regular safety meetings, etc.

- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Demonstrated, effective communication skills.
- Previous experience in retail, management or sales preferred.
- Relocation is required at the conclusion of the one-year training program for placement purposes. Minimally need to relocate within the region.
