Trainee Strategy Development Analyst

This role is to provide “analytical” support to the Business Strategy and Front Office change team..
The key roles of the team are:
To facilitate strategy implementation
To monitor and drive projects
To provide analytical support and consistency between strategic initiatives.

The team is looking for a graduate (preferably in a business/finance/mathematics/physics discipline) with some analytical experience particularly working with Excel Models
The right candidate will be seeking to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to embark on a career in business strategy and internal management consulting.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:
Working with the Business Strategy Manager to support and co-ordinate the execution of the group business strategy.
Working on (with a view to eventually managing) various strategic projects particular around growth and service proposition
To learn to develop and manage a complex analytical models.
Extracting and analysing financial and client data to populate key metrics and management dashboards.
Providing ad hoc analytical support and market research for the team

QUALIFICATIONS:
A university degree (or equivalent) with a business and/or finance focus.

EXPERIENCE:
2 years experience in an analytical role.
Experience of working on commercial Projects
Experience of working in Financial services
A strong understanding of MS Excel modelling with experience of using formulae to reference and manipulate data is a must
Experience working with MS Access is an advantage
A good understanding of the Investment Management and/or Financial planning business is an advantage
.
