Specialising in the property markets, the successful Trainee Underwriter applicant will hold a dual role dealing with both marketing client entertainment, as well as negotiating directly with clients in regard to terms conditions individual risk pricing.
The successful Trainee Underwriter will need to be available to undergo three months training in the USA before commencing the role based in London.
Your duties as a Trainee Underwriter will include:
•Assessing individual risk.
•Negotiating terms, prices transfer of risk.
•Travelling to maintain develop client relationships.
•Creating presentations, attending meetings.
•Attendance of industry events client entertainment.
The ideal Candidate will have the following skills and qualities:
•Be fully available eligible to travel to the USA for a three month period.
•Hold a minimum of a 2:1 at Degree level. (Liberal Arts, Marketing, Risk Management, Economics, Business are desirable but not essential.)
•Be a creative critical thinker.
•Previous work experience or internship within the Marketing, Business Finance, Insurance, Risk Management fields would be of great benefit, however is not essential.
•Have a positive attitude with diverse interpersonal skills.
•Demonstrable technical ability, with a high level of computer literacy.
•Demonstrates a tenacious attitude a desire to succeed.
Salary and Reward Package:
•Salary of £28-33k depending on experience.
•3 month subsidised training taking place in the USA (Business Class)
