Traineeship – Parts Interpreter


 

Our client is a well established Agricultural dealership based in Moora, Western Australia.  As part of their commitment to contribute to their local community, they are seeking a local resident to participate in their in house training programme for parts interpreting and warehouse duties.

A Parts Interpreter is involved in the investigation, sourcing and the sale of mechanical parts and components for machinery repair and modification. It may sound easy but in fact it is a highly sought after skill that takes several years to learn.

When there may be up to 10,000 different parts that make up a harvester and trying to figure out what parts are required for a repair, what its purpose of that part and how to source it requires training and experience to be successful as a parts interpreter.

The equipment you will be sourcing parts for is Agricultural Machinery and can vary from new equipment that requires modifications or upgrades to second hand equipment that may need minor work through to a full rebuild.  The equipment can be the following types of machinery.

There is also a stores component of this traineeship as the parts department stores parts for 3 other dealerships in Western Australia.  Making sure that the stock levels are meet too a set standard, the parts are entered onto the computer system and the stores are well organised are all a vital components of running a successful stores department.

On a daily basis you will be using a computer, interpreting machinery manuals and conducting phone inquiries, therefore candidates must be able to read and write effectively as well as be able to use a computer.  Having confidence in face to face customer service as well as phone based customer service is also an advantage.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and reliable candidate to take on the available traineeship.  You will need to be someone that is seeking to start a career and learn new skills. Having the long term goal of completing a course and seeing things through is necessary.

Ideally we are looking for a local to fill this great opportunity and candidates that live in the Moora area that are looking for an opportunity to kick start their working life or re-train in a new skill are encouraged to apply.

The traineeship is available for both males and females. 


Pay Rates

The traineeship is on the job training and you will be paid on an hourly basis for your efforts.  The pay rate will vary depending on the candidate and will be assessed by several key indicators.
