Trainer Job in Leatherhead, Home Counties UK

Headquartered in the UK, this international yet independent company is a leading provider of network management tools services.   Their network solutions are used by most of the world’s telecomms mobile operators.

Recruitment is high on the agenda.  A key hire is to appoint an experienced Trainer.

Role will be based at their offices in Leatherhead, Surrey.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing training team who are responsible for providing training to the company’s customers worldwide.  You will be the technical lead point of contact for all technical issues relating to the courses under your control. 

Role has 2 distinct outputs: the creation of course material + course delivery which will hold a rough 50:50 split.  Courses will need to be designed and delivered to run in multiply delivery formats such as E-Learning, Virtual classroom and face to face classroom.  Furthermore, the Trainer will be required to travel internationally, sometimes at short notice, in order to deliver courses at a customer’s premises.  This may lead to the trainer being away from home for significant periods.  Flexibility is essential as the training market is changing rapidly. 

The Person


Essential

•           A degree in telecoms (PhD or MSc highly desirable)

•           Extensive experience in a mobile telecoms co (network operator, hardware or software vendor, systems integrator, service provider), preferably involving training.

•           Fluent in English - excellent written verbal communications skills

•           Must be able to quickly pick up new software applications technologies.

•           Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of process orientated training to order to achieve Training Objectives.

•           Must be able to write clearly efficiently in order to produce objective orientated training manuals.

•           Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

•           At least 1 of the desired requirements listed below.

Interpersonal Skills

•           Must enjoy teaching and training challenges in order to meet customers' project requirements.

•           Must possess be able to demonstrate a 'can do' attitude in adversity.

•           Ability to work independently without supervision as well as part of the team to improve the course portfolio as a whole.

•           Ability to learn new skills quickly in a dynamic environment

Desired but not essential!

•           Additional languages (French, Spanish and Portuguese preferred)

•           Working knowledge of planning, optimisation and OSS tools.

•           Experience with alternative forms of teaching to classroom such as virtual and e-learning
