Training Analyst Instructor Job Description:

Deliver all aspects of Training Needs Analysis and Product Training Course Design, Development and Delivery    

• Deliver all aspects of Product Training Customer Support at customer locations in UK and overseas for specific products.
• Provide effective Product Training support to the Customer for products at company and customer locations in UK and overseas, delivering solutions that meet the Customers’ needs and requirements.
Initiate and lead process and technology improvements to deliver continuous improvements in Product Training delivery and quality that enhance product availability for and employment by the customer.
Participate in developing, maintaining and modifying product training and engineering processes (where applicable) and procedures in assigned areas in response to technical developments and identified operational need.
• Lead Product Training customer support activities for products both in the field and in depots/workshops (to include complex activities) as necessary and deliver training to customers to ensure the operability and availability of products.
• Develop, plan, and manage the delivery of engineering training packages, and make inputs as required to cross-functional projects to ensure training is delivered on time and to budget.
• Assist development trials, equipment installation and commissioning for products as required.
• Assist and advise on technical issues arising on products when necessary in order to develop proposals for investigation and derivation of optimum solutions to improve equipment and weapon system availability and reliability for the customer.
• Carry out planning, risk management and quality control activities in assigned areas in line with customer requirements and processes.


Skills / Experience:

• Electronic Engineering background and qualification (BTEC/ NVQ level 3/4 Electronic engineering min plus substantial practical experience in working from a basis of concepts and principles
• Current customer (MoD) recognised training delivery qualification.
• Up to date knowledge of technical training and maintenance issues for current in-service RN ship-borne weapon systems
• Current experience of training management and delivery including the design and development of e-learning and technology based training material
• Understanding of and ability to design, develop and deliver product training to the UK military that is compliant with the UK MoD Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) methodology.
• Performance of Field Support activities in accordance with the Field Support Process and relevant technical documentation and approved maintenance schedules.
• Recording of maintenance activity and repairs to a high standard to ensure that an unambiguous audit trail is available.
• Information and formal reports required by the UK Field Support and Training Manager and his FSE and Training Team Leaders are provided in a timely and complete way.
• Ensure that lessons identified and validated are implemented and included in subsequent maintenance routines and training packages.
