Training and Competency Manager Job
To manage all advisers through to Competent Adviser Status within the timelines and requirements outlined in the TC scheme
Objectives of the role
- To ensure that TCF, Data Security and Financial Crime requirements are fully understood prior to competency.
- Contract with advisers’ post-induction, to ensure they understand the exact requirements and timescales to achieve CAS.
- Implementation of appropriate Development Action Plans to ensure any developmental feedback, as identified on the induction course, is addressed and appropriately actioned.
- To effectively identify any further requirements and provide appropriate coaching and development to progress the adviser through to CAS within the expected timelines.
- All documentation is completed to a high standard to reflect the advisers’ progression through to CAS, as documented in the CDM standards document.
- To be regarded as the Sales Process expert in the field
- To make sound risk based judgment when recommending an adviser progresses through to full competency
About You
- 3-5 years experience in training and development as a minimum
- Full FPC or equivalent, mortgage qualified and IT literate. Have attained or in the process of achieving level 4 diploma qualifications.
- Ability and desire to effectively communicate and develop the appropriate skills, knowledge and attitude required to demonstrate competency within the network
- An effective assessor of adviser competence and able to deliver constructive, developmental feedback
- Strong communication skills in particular strong questioning skills
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility, self motivation and effective time management and organizational skills
- Team player, but able to operate with a high degree of autonomy
- Ability to manage situations faced appropriately.
