Position Description
Training and Development Manager
PRIMARY PURPOSE: Responsible for training and development project initiatives across all Company’s departments.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: include the following and other duties may be assigned as needed.
1. Ensure development of company wide training programs for various departments and procedures.
2. Oversee implementation of training and programs to ensure that all employees and managers understand their roles and expectations.
3. Develop regional plan(s) of action for implementing training and development to align with corporate goals.
4. Will design and lead on-boarding program in addition to others.
5. Special projects as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has no immediate supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Associate’s Degree (AA) from two year college or technical school and 7-8 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional requirements include: Knowledge of Federal State laws and regulations as they apply to transportation, safety, labor laws, etc; computer knowledge (Microsoft Office). Technical, design, and presentation skills a plus. Excellent bi-lingual (Spanish) written and verbal communication skills.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small, and large group situations to all USS departments and contractors to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to report status of objectives, problems, and make suggestions for improvement. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate rates, discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, etc. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios to practical situations
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid driver license, clean driving record proof of current automobile insurance.
