Job Title: Training Manager
Reporting to: HR Director
Hours: 40
Salary Banding: £25,000 To £30,000 (OTE 45,000-50,000)
Purpose of Role:
Our client is a highly successful and profitable financial services business now looking to improve its customer journey and become a household brand name. As a result, it is now increasing its Training function to support these aims. The Training Manager is responsible for driving improvements in business effectiveness through delivery of technical and soft training skills across our Company in-line with departmental and business objectives.
Key area of responsibility accountability
1.To develop a company-wide induction programme and ensure delivery for new starters.
2.To develop a TNA and roll out through localised managers.
3.To develop and roll out management development programs.
4.To ensure on-going training needs are evaluated and programmes implemented as necessary; plan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops.
5.To implement throughout the Company an understanding of coaching and mentoring.
6.To train Trainers and individuals as appropriate to deliver company training programmes as necessary.
7.Evaluate instructor performance and the effectiveness of training programs, providing recommendations for improvement.
8.Confer with management and conduct surveys to identify training needs based on projected production processes, changes, and other factors.
9.Develop and organise training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
10.Prepare and manage a budget for training, ensuring that expenditure is closely monitored, controlled and reported on.
Experience and Skills required
a.Key Technical Skills
-At least 3-5 years relevant experience and a proven track record of achievement in a similar role, ideally within a Contact Centre or Sales environment (although not essential)
-Experience of working in complex organisations demonstrating influencing and organisation awareness skills
-Sufficient knowledge to comprehend, analyze and produce solutions to the range of problems encountered in the Training field
-Experience of working to targets and defined performance standards
-Strong written and oral communication skills
-Computer literate including MS Office suite
-Experience in managing a team of technical and/or behavioural trainers
-Experience in hands-on Behavioural training
