Training Manager
Trainer
Amazon.com's Transportation department is seeking a Trainer with experience in delivering classroom trainings for Transportation and Fulfillment Center (FC) associates as well as "train the trainer" programs.
The team develops and maintains training programs that graduate high performing Transportation and FC associates working with multiple tools across a variety of geographies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that work is continually aligned to meet the global Transportation approach, and is aligned with Amazon's global learning policies
- Act as a proactive and productive liaison/partner within the global Corporate Learning Departments
- In conjunction with the HR business Partners create and implement training plans for managers, learning and development Associates and others (i.e. participating in and conducting needs analysis, skills development classes, cross-training, etc.)
- In conjunction with HR, facilitate orientation for new tool sets of permanent and temporary employees, communicate policies and procedures to managers and new employees as needed
- Create and manage training content and documentation
- Ensure that Learning creates/updates accurate and useful information on job tasks, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and training aids/visuals
- Manage learning resources including budget, equipment and materials
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training activities in relation to business goals
- Actively seek, clarify and understand information from Operations and Area Managers that leads to an understanding and ownership of FC performance and goals
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- 4+ years Learning Management within Distribution, Manufacturing/Production or similar environment
- 3+ years Project Management experience
- Experience of conducting Training Needs Analysis and carrying out all activities in the Training Cycle: Design, Delivery, Evaluation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable in the delivery of training solutions
- Able to give and receive feedback effectively
- Experience using computers to develop materials, presentations and use of email and knowledge of internet/intranet
- Result orientated and pro-active attitude with a strong sense of conviction
- Meets time commitments and deadlines, or negotiates accordingly
- Highly developed leadership ability
- Experience of implementing a wide range of Change management and process improvement activities
- Able to develop and implement departments goals and strategies based on broader organizational goals
- Experience working in global organizations
- Adult learning theory/course facilitation
- Management Development
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing theories and Kaizen
- Fluent in English
