MMG Century is seeking to appoint a Training Officer to join the Human Resources Department.

Reporting to the Training Superintendent, the Training Officer will develop, plan, schedule and deliver compliance training and maintain attendance and certification records. You will also ensure that training and competency standards are met and statutory, auditable obligations and records of attainment are maintained in accordance with Training Guidelines. You will champion safe work practices and play an active role in HS initiatives on site.

To be considered, you will have:

  • An unwavering commitment to safe work practices
  • Several years experience in a similar role where you've developed knowledge of and skills in planning, developing, coordinating and presenting competency based training programs
  • A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • A Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Strong experience within a Mining or Industrial environment is essential
  • Ability to deliver training in confined space and safe work at heights would be advantageous

Important to this role are your verbal communication skills and confidence in liaising with people at all levels.

For this opportunity MMG Century is offering a 5/2 * 2, 7/7 FIFO roster from Townsville, Mt Isa and Gulf Communities.
